Your website is a salesperson

If a site only looks good, it is underemployed.

A corporate website should answer the buyer's next question before they need to ask it. What do you do? Who is it for? Why should I believe you? What happens if I contact you?

Design is navigation for attention

Good visual design is not decoration. It tells the visitor what matters first, what belongs together and what deserves a second look. That makes information architecture a commercial decision, not just a UX exercise.

A homepage cannot carry the entire business. Service pages should answer service questions. Sector pages should translate capabilities into the buyer's context. Thinking should demonstrate how the organisation sees the world. Contact should reduce the uncertainty around what happens next.

Performance is part of the brand

Slow pages, broken forms and inaccessible interactions communicate indifference more loudly than a brand manifesto can correct. The site is part of the service before a prospect has spoken to anyone.

Treat the website as a working commercial system and the design decisions become easier to defend. Beauty still matters. It simply has a job.
